Bob Gershberg is an Executive Advisor at Wray Executive Search, having previously served as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner for more than a decade. He joined Wray in 2004 as Executive Vice President, became a Partner in 2005, and was named CEO and Managing Partner in 2009. During his tenure, Bob played a central role in establishing Wray Executive Search as a premier, specialty, client-centric executive search firm.
Prior to joining Wray Executive Search, Bob was an accomplished operating executive and entrepreneur. He founded several successful QSR and fast-casual restaurant concepts and served as Chief Executive Officer of a leading multi-state bakery café chain, giving him firsthand experience building, scaling, and leading consumer-focused businesses.
With a steadfast commitment to the highest professional standards and exceptional client service, Bob specializes in C-suite and senior functional leadership searches. He brings deep expertise across the restaurant, foodservice, franchise, and broader consumer sectors and has successfully completed searches spanning finance, human resources, information technology, supply chain, real estate, franchising, operations, and marketing.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the State University of New York. He is actively involved in board and nonprofit work and is a frequent guest lecturer at universities across the country. He splits his time between New York and St. Petersburg, Florida, though he is most often found wherever his clients need him. Outside of work, Bob enjoys golf, skiing, running, cycling, and, as he puts it, “spending time and money in great restaurants.”
